An Ibadan born Educationist, Dr Kazeem Akande has congratulates Hon. Yemi Taiwo on his appointment as the Chairman, Oyo state Library board.
Hon Taiwo ,a former member of the House of Representatives representing Ibarapa East/Ido federal constituency, was among chairmen of government boards and agencies as well as special advisers recently appointed by Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde.
This was contained in a congratulatory message personally signed by the educationist and made available to newsmen in Ibadan on Saturday.
The educationist who is also a member of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ido local government area of Oyo state in the statement , described Taiwo’s appointment as a major step towards the service of the people, who should continue to hold steadfast to the ideals and potentials to deliver good governance.
Akande noted the achievements of Hon. Yemi Taiwo while serving as a member of the Federal House of Representatives for Ido/Ibarapa East federal constituency. He commended his brilliance as a member of the parliament especially the role he played in driving commerce and development in the constituency. Akande further said that several developmental initiatives were proposed by the lawmaker and he is sure his impact will be felt in his new office.
While applauding the Oyo state governor, Seyi Makinde over the appointment of the former lawmaker he added that Hon Taiwo’s appointment is a well deserved one.
He said “On behalf of my family , the good people of Ido local government and Ibadan in general , I congratulates and rejoice with Hon. Yemi Taiwo on his appointment as the Chairman , Oyo state Library board and wish him best of luck in his new office “, he concluded.
