Egbeda Legislative Council Holds Interfaith Prayers, Hails Makinde, Sanda For Remarkable Achievements.
As part of activities to mark the end of the year, Egbeda Legislative Council on Friday held its Interfaith prayer session.
The Interfaith session was presided over by the Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. Ibrahim Oladebo Simple lauded the sterling performance of the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde FNSE.
The House used the session to congratulate the Governor on the celebration of his 56th birthday.
The House further appreciated Governor Seyi Makinde for the various developmental projects cited in Egbeda Local Government and other local governments in the State.
The Hon. Simple led Legislative Council commended the Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Sikiru Oyedele Sanda for the cordial working relationship that exists between the executive arm and the legislative council.
The House noted that the Executive Chairman meant well for the council by building an ultra-modern Chamber for the legislative council saying such edifice does not exist in any local government.
While rounding off activities for the year 2023, the House screened the Supervisory Councilor nominee from Erunmu Ward 01 of Egbeda Local Government, Mr. Babatunde Qozeem Adio based on the correspondence sent to the leader of the House by the Executive Chairma. And after a thorough screening and scrutiny, the Supervisory Councillor nominee was cleared and recommended.
