The OTOPE Foundation, led by Hon. Chief (Dr.) Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji (OTOPE), has announced the successful completion of the first phase of its 2-month hands-on vocational training program for youth and young adults from Egbeda and Ona-Ara federal constituency.

Speaking to journalists on Monday, Hon. OTOPE confirmed that the training, which commenced on May 20, 2024, has ended. He stated, “As a dedicated son of the soil, I deemed it fit to empower our people with diverse hands-on professions.”

The 2-month training program, held at the OTOPE Foundation Office in Egbeda, Ibadan, focused on technical skills such as solar inverter power system installation, CCTV camera surveillance installation, electric fence wire security installation, intercom phone systems, car tracker GPS, and factory internet systems installation.

The foundation has previously empowered over 200 residents through various vocational training programs, providing resources like sewing machines, makeup kits, clippers, cosmetics raw materials, and other self-reliance materials.

The graduation and empowerment ceremony for the participants is scheduled for August 2024.
