The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has enjoined Nigerian Muslims to reflect on the lesson of sacrifice, obedience and faith as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.

Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja stated this while felicitating with them as they joined their counterparts all over the world to celebrate this year Eid el Kabir (Ileya festival).

In the statement issued by Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja and made available to journalists through his Personal Assistant, Bamitale Ibrahim, he said that Ileya festival is a season for the believers to take deep reflection on the purpose of life, the creation and a gentle reminder that everybody will give account of his or her deed on earth on the day of reckoning.

Arapaja said though the country is yet to get it right in terms of improving the living standard of her people, Nigerians still have every cause to thank the Almighty that they are alive to celebrate the Ileya festival.

He extended his congratulatory message to the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, his deputy, Barr. AbdulRaheem Adebayo Lawal, the Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin (Ige Olakulehin 1) and other royal fathers in the state, the Chief Imam of Ibadaland, Sheikh Abdulganiyy Agbotomokekere, the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland (Edo $ Delta States), Alhaji Daud Makanjuola (De-Damak) and other Muslim ulamas in the state.

While wishing Muslims a joyous and peaceful celebration, Ambassador Arapaja who was the former Deputy Governor of Oyo State called on the Oyo State citizens to continue to support Governor Seyi Makinde administration’s agenda for economic prosperity of the state.
