The Chairman, Oyo State Park Management System, PMS, Alhaji (Ambassador) Wasiu Tomiwa Omolewa popularly known as Tommy has congratulated the entire Muslim Ummah in Oyo State on the successful completion of Ramadan season.
Tommy in his goodwill message to fellow Muslims expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah.
He urged them to imbibe the spiritual and moral lessons learnt during the fasting month.
“My dear good people of the Pacesetter State, we celebrate ‘Eid-ul-Fitr on a day of thanksgiving and joy, for it signifies the successful completion of the month of Ramadan.
“This blessed month gives the Ummah of Islam the opportunity to practice self-discipline, austerity, solidarity, and endeavour, which are so vital for spiritual and moral regeneration, and for the well-being of the Ummah.
“We shall, once again, bow our heads before the Almighty in gratitude for having given us the strength to fulfil his commandments.”
The Holy Quran says
“And those who are patient, seeking the countenance of their Lord, and establish prayer and spend from what We have provided for them secretly and publicly and prevent evil with good – those will have the good consequence of [this] home.” (Surah Ar-Ra’d 13:22)
