The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Amb. Taofeek Oladejo Arapaja has congratulated all the newly sworn-in elected Chairmen and their Vice in the 33 local government areas with a charge to be above board and emulate a purpose-driven leadership of the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde in their respective Local Government a
    Areas.

In a statement issued by Amb. Arapaja and made available to newsmen through his Personal Assistant, Bamitale Ibrahim shortly after the elected Chairmen took the Oath of Office at the Ceremony held at the House of Chiefs, Secretariat, Ibadan, Amb. Arapaja reminded them that their emergence followed their individual track record of hardworking, focused, patriotic and loyalty to the Party. He urged them therefore to strive and maintain those attributes by delivering good governance to the people at the grassroot level.

Amb. Arapaja further enjoined both the returnees and newly elected chairmen to use their positions to render quality service to the people in line with the Governor’s purpose-driven leadership which has continued to bring positive developments to Oyo State in the last five years of his administration.

While thanking the Governor for allowing democracy to thrive at the grassroot level, Amb. Arapaja called on the chairmen to give their total support and allegiance to the Governor’s people-oriented leadership and his quest for a developed, progressive, economically buoyant and peaceful Oyo State in the next three years of their administration.

He further charged them not to run government of vendetta but rather run an all inclusive government by accommodating all their perceived opponents that contested against them

He concluded by wishing them peaceful, eventful and successful tenure of office.
