FANMILK NIGERIA PLC ENGAGE STAFF, STUDENTS IN SPORTING ACTIVITIES TO PROMOTE ONENESS

 

Danone One, Owners of Fanmilk Nigeria PLC held its one day One Nigeria Games at the Ilaji resort on Saturday.

The event which featured sporting events such as football, volleyball, chess, and other board games had in attendance a cross section of staff, and invited colleges, who participated in the sporting activities.

Head of Danone’s corporate affairs and security, CEASER ABAM said the purpose of the program is to ensure team bonding, staff engagement, and to build relationships.

The One Nigeria Games is holding for a second time due a delay caused by the covid-19, and it is aimed at ensuring a work-life balance for members of staff.

ABAM added that the One Nigeria Games comes at a time when Nigeria needs the message of oneness.

Invitational Tournament featured 4 Schools, Federal Cooperative College, Ibadan, College of Health Technology (aka School of Hygiene), School of Nursing and Midwifery a d Eleyele Secondary School. All in Eleyele, Ibadan

The Department in Danone was grouped together. PROLITY, ADENG, IBLOGSA are all in Ibadan, while ELCHENDO, SALAS and WADIS are all in Lagos WHICH ALSO PARTICIPATED in the events.

The grand finale of the program which was held at ilaji sports and resort centre featured Female Football which Team Lagos emerged winner and Team Ibadan came second, in the Male Football, IBLOGSA came first while ADENG came second but In the Mixed Volleyball Team Ibadan came first while Team Lagos took second place position.

In Chess ELCHENDO emerged winner while PROLITY came second and in Ludo WADIS came first while SALAS came second.

In Ayo game, PROLITY came first while SALAS came second, in Table Tennis IBLOGSA emerged winner and PROLITY came second.

Other games included Playstation where PROLITY won while IBLOGSA came second and in Scrabble, PROLITY won the game and IBLOGSA came second.

In the Invitational Finals the Winner was Federal Cooperative College and the Runners Up was School of Nursing and Midwifery, Final Medal Table ONG 2021 the following got medals PROLITY -3 Gold, 2 Silver, IBLOGSA- 2 Gold, 2 Silver, ELCHENDO- 1Gold

WADIS- 1 Gold, SALAS- 2 Silver, ADENG- 1 Silver, Team Lagos Group: 1 Gold, 1 Silver, Team Ibadan Group: 1 Gold, 1 Silver.
