Fatokun Lauds Police Over Arrest Of Suspected Killers In Akinyele
A member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Ayotunde Fatokun has commended the Police for the prompt arrest of suspects in connection with the killings of innocent residents at Akknyele Local Government.
Hon Fatokun who represents Akinyele Constituency 1 and doubles as the Chairman Parliamentary Council, gave the commendation while addressing newsmen in Akinyele on Saturday after the police paraded the two suspects at the Command Headquarters, Eleyele, Ibadan.
Fatokun said the arrest of the suspects showed how pragmatic the police in the state are.
“ Arresting the suspects has strengthened public confidence in the police.”
“Protection of lives and property of residents will continue to be priority of the state government, since security is one of the four cardinal points of Governor Makinde’s administration, hence the need to support the governor in achieving the Oyo State of our dream.”
The prime suspect, Sunday Sodipe, male, Aged 19, confessed to have been behind the
killing of Barakat Bello, a pregnant woman Mrs. Azeezat Shomuyiwa, Grace Oshiagwu, Olusayo Fagbemi, and Mujeeb Tiamiyu.
Sunday said he wassent by his cohort Mr. Adedokun Yinusa Ajani, Male, aged 50, an herbalist.
