The courtesy visit by Forensic Guards Nigeria (FGN) Southwest Zone to Ambassador (Hon) Akinwole A. Akinleye, Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government in Oyo State, was a resounding success.

The Southwest Coordinator (also Oyo State Coordinator) and the Lagos State Coordinator (also International Public Relations Officer) met with the newly elected Chairman, who warmly welcomed them.

FGN SW Zonal Coordinator congratulated the newly elected chairman on behalf of FGN Family and emphasized the need for collaboration for the development of the FGN in the state and Nigeria at large.

In addition, International PRO lent her voice on behalf of FGN Management to felicitates Hon Akinleye.

During his response, Ambassador Akinleye stressed the importance of capacity building and requested adequate training for members and suggested that his colleagues at the ALGON level will need this training most. He then proposed early October for training of all LGA Chairmen on forensic knowledge, also emphasized the need for thorough training in the Southwest Zone to enhance operational effectiveness.

The FGN team identified key training areas aligning with the Chairman’s vision:

    – _Intelligence, investigation and Security Training:_ Enhancing security measures and intelligence gathering capabilities
    – _Forensic Accounting and Audit:_ Strengthening financial management and accountability
    – _Forensic Electioneering:_ Ensuring the integrity of electoral processes

The team also visited newly inducted Ambassador Medupin Abiodun and extended hands of Birthday greetings to him at his office, then encouraged full participation in ongoing training and inviting others to join the FGN family. Ambassador Medupin pledged to bring prospective Ambassadors on board and share the training link.

The meeting was productive and promising, setting the stage for fruitful collaboration between Forensic Guards Nigeria and Akinyele Local Government.

The proposed training and capacity-building initiatives will drive significant growth and impact in the Southwest Zone.
