Five Years: ‘Unemerged’ Oyo PDP Councillorship Aspirants Congratulate Gov Makinde, Seeks Consideration For LG Appointments
The Association of Unemerged Oyo State PDP Aspirants for Councillorship (AYOPACU) has congratulated the Governor Seyi Makinde on his five years anniversary in office.
The association also appealed to Governor Seyi Makinde, the leadership of the party in the state and others to consider them in the appointment of supervisory councillors, special advisers and other appointments at the local government.
They made this known in a statement by their chairman, Abiola Khaleed O and secretary, Raheem Rasheed and available to newsmen, on Tuesday.
The association is made up of aspirants who obtained the party’s form throughout Oyo state to contest under the platform of the PDP but unemerged in the last local government election.
The statement read: “We want to use this opportunity to congratulate our leader and father, His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde for the good works he has done in Oyo State in the last five years .
“We want to commend our governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde for upholding the tenet of democracy and for his efforts towards ensuring that dividends of democracy get to every nook and cranny of Oyo state.
“We want to appeal to Governor Seyi Makinde, the leadership of our party, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in the state and others to consider us in the appointment of Supervisory councillors, Special Advisers and other appointments at the local government level.”
