Fola Gold Foundation has distributed cheques to beneficiaries of it’s annual scholarship awards to students of various tertiary institutions who are indigenes of Oyo State.
The occasion which took place at the Supreme Hotel and Suites, American Quarters, Idi Ape Ibadan was chaired by the Chairman Governing Council of The Polytechnic Ibadan, Professor Kunle Akinyemi.
Professor Akinyemi enjoined the students who benefitted from the awards to exhibit high level of commitment to their studies in order to ensure the sustainance of the award on yearly basis by the donor-Mogaji Debo Oladejo.
While congratulating the recipients of the scholarship, he commended Mogaji Oladejo and his wife Pastor Mrs Folakemi Oladejo who is the President of the Foundation for their gesture and call on other philanthropists to emulate the couple for the betterment of our society, adding that government can not do it alone.
Earlier, Mogaji and Pastor Mrs Oladejo had assured the beneficiaries that the awards shall be an annual event for students who excelled in their course of studies.
The lucky awardees numbering eight promised not to let the donors down and prayed for God’s continued blessings over their lives.
