…Commends OYSIEC, Security Agencies, Electorates, Others

Forum of Oyo state Chairmen of Commissions and Director Generals of Parastatals has hailed Governor Seyi Makinde over the successful conduct of the local government election in the state.

The forum also commended the Oyo state Independent Electoral Commission, OYSIEC, under the leadership of Aare Isiaka Olagunju SAN for a yeoman’s job.

The forum made these known in a statement jointly signed by the chairman of the forum, Alhaji Kamorudeen Aderibigbe and secretary, Rt Hon Musah Abdulwasi, PhD, on Tuesday, in Ibadan, the state capital.

According to the statement, the forum said Governor Seyi Makinde has written his name in gold in the history of the state for conducting local government election two times in state.

The forum said unlike during the past administrations where local government elections were conducted some months before the end of those administrations, Governor Seyi Makinde is a lover of democracy.

The forum also commended security agencies for ensuring peace across the state throughout the electioneering process.

While congratulating the chairmen-elects and councillors-elects, the forum hailed the electorates for voting the People’s Democratic Party, PDP candidates.

The statement read in part: “We want to use this medium to congratulate our boss and Governor of Oyo state, Engineer Seyi Makinde for the successful conduct of the local government election in the state.

“Governor Seyi Makinde has written his name in gold for conducting elections two times in the state unlike in the past where elections were conducted some months to the end of their administrations.

“We also want to commend the Oyo state Independent Electoral Commission, OYSIEC under the leadership of Aare Isiaka Olagunju SAN and security agencies for the success of the poll.

“As we congratulate the newly elected chairmen and councilors, we thank the electorates for voting the People’s Democratic Party.”
