The Federation of Oyo State Students’ Union (FOSSU) National Council, the foremost umbrella body representing Oyo State indigenes in tertiary institutions nationwide, has expressed deepest gratitude and high commendation to Rt. Hon. Adebo Edward Ogundoyin, the esteemed Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, for his unwavering, consistent, and exemplary support to the student constituency in Oyo State.

Ahmed stated that Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin has proven himself as a true friend of Oyo State students through his open-door policy, accessibility, and genuine responsiveness to our needs.
“He has repeatedly provided a listening ear to student demands and needs. His legislative leadership has strengthened collaboration between the Oyo State House of Assembly, the executive arm, and student bodies, creating an enabling environment for young voices to shape policies that impact our future.
“We are especially grateful for his decisive and proactive role in facilitating the peaceful resolution of the recent factional leadership crisis in the Federation of Ibarapa Students’ Association (FIBSA).
“Through his capable representation by the Chief of Staff, the active involvement of the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the Governor on Students Affairs, Fossu National President-elect and close collaboration with key stakeholders and concerned students, harmony was restored swiftly.
“This intervention prevented potential escalations, promoted dialogue over division, and exemplified the Speaker’s commitment to unity, inclusivity, and peaceful resolution of student-related challenges.
“Rt. Hon. Ogundoyin’s dedication—evident in initiatives such as the Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin Students’ Legislative Summit and ongoing youth-focused efforts—continues to inspire hope, foster progress, and position him as a mentor to the youth of Oyo State.
“His actions reflect exemplary public service that prioritizes the development and empowerment of the younger generation beyond political boundaries.
