The Executive Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode, has joined millions of admirers across the country to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Fresh FM Nigeria, founded by the legendary broadcaster and musician, Dr. Yinka Ayefele (MON).
Hon. Alawode, while attending the colourful event, described Dr. Ayefele as “a man truly enjoying the unexplainable grace of God.” He thanked God for Ayefele’s journey, impact, and resilience, acknowledging that Fresh FM has grown into one of Nigeria’s most influential radio networks, giving voice to the people and shaping public discourse.
Speaking further, Hon. Alawode applauded the positive influence of Fresh FM on society, especially in promoting culture, good governance, and civic responsibility through responsible journalism and entertainment.
Governor Seyi Makinde’s ally, Otunba Seye Famojuro, who represented the Oyo State Governor, also graced the event.
In his goodwill message, he described Dr. Ayefele as “a man of the people” and praised the broadcaster’s contributions to national development. He made generous donations both personally and on behalf of His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde, during the launch of a commemorative book.
Also in attendance were notable local government chairmen including: ALGON Chairman and Chairman of Egbeda LG,, Hon. Sikiru Sanda, Chairman of Akinyele LG, Hon. Wole Akinleye, Chairman of Ona-Ara LG, Hon. Temitope Kolapo.
