Fuel Palliative Exercise Continues as OTOPE Gives Over 200 Maruwa Riders Free PMS, Monday
The Director-General of the Liaison Offices in Abuja and Lagos, Hon. Ezekiel Temitope Oladimeji, popularly known as OTOPE, is set to provide free Petroleum Motor Spirit (PMS) to over 200 Maruwa (tricycle) riders in the Ona Ara Local Government area of Oyo State on Monday.
This is the second time OTOPE has extended such benevolence to the Maruwa riders in the local government area.
The previous fuel palliative exercise was well-received by the beneficiaries, who expressed gratitude for OTOPE’s support during the challenging economic climate.
Explaining his motivation for the initiative, OTOPE said, “As a public servant, it is my duty to ensure that the people I serve are taken care of, especially during these difficult times.”
“The Maruwa riders are the backbone of our transportation system, and I am honoured to be able to provide them with this small but meaningful assistance.”
He further elaborated on his commitment to supporting the local community, stating, “I believe that true leadership is about empowering and uplifting the people we serve.”
“By providing this fuel palliative, I hope to alleviate the financial burden on the Maruwa riders and enable them to continue earning a living and supporting their families.”
The latest gesture is part of OTOPE’s ongoing efforts to alleviate the burden of rising fuel prices on lower-income individuals and small business owners in the community.
By providing free PMS, he aims to ease the financial strain on Maruwa riders, allowing them to continue earning a living and supporting their families.
The fuel palliative exercise is scheduled to take place on Monday, July 22, 2024, at a designated location within the Ona Ara local government area.
Maruwa riders in the area are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and receive the free PMS from OTOPE and his team.
