‘Gadabu was an epitome of resilience,’ Ibarapakan commiserates with Olatunde’s family
Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has commiserated with the family of the late Alhaji Rasaq Olatunde (Gadabu), who passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023.
In his condolence message to the bereaved family, Hon. (Dr.) Adepoju said that the late Gadabu inspired so many sons and daughters of Ibarapa, especially Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North, through his resilient way of life and his approach to politics without any form of rancour and bitterness.
According to him, the former supervisor for works was a renowned teacher and a grassroots politician who upheld the spirit of community development even in the face of many political ups and downs.
“The story of the Ibarapa political sphere, especially in the current fourth republic, is incomplete without the mention of the late Gadabu.
“He was an active politician and one who had the interests of his community at heart. He was consistent yet determined. It is regrettable that death took him away at a time when his wealth of knowledge was most needed.
“His passing has left a mark on many people, including myself. He was a significant community figure, and his demise is indeed a great loss.
“I commiserate with the entire Olatunde clan over this irreparable loss of their loved one, and I pray that his soul rest in peace.” Ibarapakan mourned.
