The Oke-Ogun Development Consultative Forum (ODCF), the umbrella socio-cultural body coordinating the activities of unions, associations, and stakeholders of Oke-Ogun both at home and in the diaspora, has commended the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what it described as aggressive infrastructural transformation aimed at driving national development.

In a statement, the forum expressed appreciation for the recent approval by the Federal Executive Council (FEC) for major road projects across Oke-Ogun communities in Oyo State.

The projects include the reconstruction of the Iseyin–Ipapo–Baasi–Saki–Ilesha-Ibaruba Road, rehabilitation of the Igboho–Igbeti Road and the Iseyin–Eruwa–Agbesi Road, as well as the construction of the Igboho–Soro–Kishi Road.

According to the ODCF, the projects demonstrate the determination of the Federal Government to address underdevelopment and improve the standard of living of Nigerians through enhanced infrastructure.

The forum noted that the socio-economic benefits of the roads, when completed, would significantly impact the region by boosting economic activities, improving transportation, and facilitating easier movement of people and goods.

The group also expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for the establishment of the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho (FUNATO), describing the institution as a major milestone for Oke-Ogun. It added that the anticipated creation of Oke-Ogun State would further strengthen development efforts in the region.

The ODCF urged residents of Oke-Ogun and Nigerians at large to continue supporting the administration’s Renewed Hope agenda and cooperate with relevant government agencies to ensure the successful execution and completion of the projects.

The forum further wished President Tinubu continued strength and wisdom in governance, while commending the Minister of Works, Engr. David Umahi, for his efforts in infrastructure development and reaffirming its support for the administration.
