A concerned political support group, Ibadan Nile Loko Tokan Tokan, has cautioned the former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu against engaging in any form of anti-party activity following the ongoing developments surrounding the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial primary in Oyo State.

In a statement released to journalists on Tuesday, the group urged Adelabu to respect the processes and decisions of the party, stressing that the credibility of the APC must not be undermined by internal disagreements or personal ambitions.

The group noted that while aspirants are entitled to pursue their political ambitions, such ambitions must remain within the framework of party discipline and democratic rules governing internal party contests.

It further advised Adelabu to formally accept and align with the outcome of the party’s gubernatorial primary, once concluded, in the interest of unity and stability within the APC in Oyo State.

According to the statement, “No individual ambition is greater than the collective interest of the party. The APC has established procedures for selecting its candidates, and those processes must be respected by all stakeholders.”

The group also warned against actions that could be interpreted as working against the party from within or engaging in premature campaigns of misinformation, adding that such conduct could weaken the party’s chances in future elections.

It called on all aspirants and supporters to prioritise peace, unity, and party cohesion as the APC prepares for the 2027 electoral cycle.
