

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ibadan North East Local Government, Hon. Abiola Akinloye, has renovated a long-abandoned borehole in Ward 9 Islamic area, Agugu, to provide clean water access to residents of the area.


The renovated borehole was commissioned amid Peoples Democratic Party, PDP chieftain in the ward.


The project, which aims to address the pressing need for potable water in the community, was lauded by party leaders and dignitaries who attended the commissioning event.


Speakers at the event which included Chairman Oyo State Water Corporation, Hon Elias Adeojo, Chief Bayo Lawal, Hon Sola Owolabi, Councilor for ward 9, PDP ward chairman and party excos, commended Hon. Akinloye for prioritizing the basic needs of the masses and for his commitment to improving the lives of his constituents.


Several dignitaries who were also present at the event, echoed the sentiments of the party leaders, emphasizing the importance of local initiatives in addressing the needs of the community.




Hon. Akinloye, in his address, stated that the renovation of the borehole was a direct response to the concerns raised by residents during his community outreach programmes.


He pledged to continue working towards providing essential services and infrastructure to improve the quality of life for the people of Ward 9.
Meanwhile, the renovated borehole is expected to serve a significant number of households in the Islamic Agugu area, providing them with a reliable source of clean and safe drinking water.
