The Executive Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode, has felicitated Muslim faithful across the Local Government and beyond on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Maulud, commemorating the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Hon. Alawode urged Muslims to use the occasion to reflect on the exemplary life and teachings of the Holy Prophet, particularly his virtues of peace, love, humility, tolerance, compassion and peaceful coexistence.

The Chairman emphasized the importance of unity and mutual understanding among residents, noting that the progress and development of Ibadan South East Local Government can only be achieved when people of different religious and cultural backgrounds live together peacefully and support one another.

He also called on Muslim faithful to continue praying for the peace, security and prosperity of Oyo State and Nigeria, while encouraging everyone to demonstrate kindness and extend support to the less privileged in society.

According to him, “The celebration of Eid-el-Maulud is not only about commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW), but also about reflecting on his teachings and putting them into practice. Let us continue to promote peace, love, tolerance and compassion in our communities.”

The council boss assured residents of the continued commitment of his administration to providing quality services and implementing programmes that will improve the welfare and living conditions of the people.

Hon. Alawode wished all Muslim faithful a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Maulud celebration and prayed that Almighty Allah would continue to bless their homes, grant them good health and guide the nation towards greater peace, stability and prosperity.
