

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim faithfuls across Nigeria as they commence fasting in the holy month of Ramadan, urging that they use the season to project the best and finest virtues of Islam.


Hon. Alawode, in a goodwill message to mark the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, enjoined the Muslims to use this opportunity to put the best teachings of Islam into practice, such as kindness and the love of humanity.


According to the council boss, Ramadan period is an occasion for deep reflection and greater fear of Allah and avoidance of all evils that can harm humanity, emphasizing the values of piety, steadfastness, love, charity, and sacrifice as enshrined in the teachings of the Qur’an and the Prophet Muhammad PBUH) for spiritual rejuvenation and renewed national growth and development.


Hon. Alawode then prayed that this fasting and devotion period be marked by good health, spiritual fulfilment, and divine blessings.
