Hon Alawode Hosts NSCDC Commandant, Pledges Collaboration with Security Agencies

The Executive Chairman of Ibadan South East Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode, on Tuesday received the Oyo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Augustine Ayodeji Padonu, on a courtesy visit at the Council Secretariat, Mapo, Ibadan.

Hon. Alawode warmly welcomed Commandant Padonu and his entourage, which included officers from NSCDC, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), State Security Service (SSD) and Oyo State Traffic Management Authority (OYRTMA).

The council boss expressed deep appreciation for the selfless service of the NSCDC officers, particularly those attached to Ibadan South East Local Government, for their tireless efforts in maintaining peace and ensuring the safety of lives and properties within the local government.

Hon. Alawode assured the commandant of his administration’s unwavering and continued support to security agencies in the council area and reaffirmed his commitment to creating a secure and peaceful environment for all.

In his remarks, Commandant Padonu expressed gratitude for the hospitality and support his officers have received from the council. He appealed for a more compassionate and enabling environment to further enhance their operations and expand service delivery in the area.

Giving the vote of thanks, the Head of Local Government Administration (HLGA), Dr. Agnes Olakunbi Ojo, commended the security teams for their dedication and pledged that the council would do the needful to foster improved collaboration and security effectiveness.

Other dignitaries present included Chief Muibi Odunade, representing the Traditional Council of Ibadan South East Local Government, Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Kazeem Kareem, Chief of Staff, Prince Olusegun Oludaye, the Director of Administration and General Services, Mr. Kayode Bamgbade, Director of Education and Social Services, Alhaja Silifat Oyedele, and several others.
The visit further strengthens the synergy between the local government and security agencies for a safer Ibadan South East.
