    The lawmaker representing Ibadan Southeast Constituency 1 in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Modiu Akande, popularly known as Alabmusa, has congratulated H.E. Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja on his appointment as the Chairman of the newly inaugurated Board of Governors of the People’s Democratic Institute (PDI) in Abuja.

    The lawmaker equally lauded Governor Seyi Makinde for trusting in Arapaja’s capacity to lead the PDI.

    In his congratulatory message, Hon Akande praised Ambassador Arapaja for his exemplary leadership and commitment to the ideals of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). He noted that the PDI serves as a vital platform for promoting democratic principles and fostering progressive ideas.

    “Ambassador Arapaja’s swearing-in is a significant milestone for the PDP and a testament to his dedication to effective governance. I am confident that under his leadership, the PDI will continue to thrive and make impactful contributions to our democracy.”

    Hon. Akande also acknowledged the important role of the PDI in building capacity and nurturing future leaders, emphasizing the need for continuous support for democratic institutions in Nigeria.

    He wished Arapaja all the best in his new role and expressed hope for the positive changes that will arise from his leadership at the Institute.
