Amidst growing concerns over rising insecurity and the need for effective law enforcement, federal lawmaker representing Ibadan Northwest/southwest federal constituency, Hon. Dhikrullahi Adedeji Stanley Odidiomo has emerged as a vocal advocate for state policing and security reform.

Drawing upon his vast experience and expertise as the chairman of the House Committee on ICT and Cybersecurity, Hon. Odidiomo articulated a compelling case for decentralizing law enforcement agencies to enhance security and combat criminal activities.

In a thought-provoking interview with a seasoned journalist, Mayor Isaac brown, Hon. Odidiomo underscored the imperative of adopting state policing models akin to those employed in advanced democracies such as the United States.

Citing the success of regional security outfits like Amotekun in addressing local security challenges, he advocated for granting arms and resources to bolster their effectiveness in safeguarding communities.

With unwavering conviction and foresight, Hon. Odidiomo is in total support of a holistic approach to security reform, emphasizing the importance of community engagement and collaboration in tackling the root causes of insecurity.

As Nigeria grapples with complex security threats, his visionary leadership promises to chart a path towards a safer and more secure future for all citizens.
