In a continued effort to promote digital literacy among students in his constituency, Hon. Adedeji Dhikrullahi Olajide, the representative of Ibadan North-West/Ibadan South-West Federal Constituency, has announced the expansion of his ICT Hub project to Oba Abass Alesinloye Grammar School, Eleyele, Ibadan. This initiative marks the next phase in his mission to equip students with essential technological skills.

Hon. Olajide, who also serves as the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Digital, ICT, and Cybersecurity, has been a strong advocate for integrating technology into education. Following the successful launch of the ICT Hub at Oke-Bola Comprehensive High School, which has significantly improved students’ digital skills and academic performance, the lawmaker is now extending this opportunity to more students in his constituency.

The new ICT Hub at Oba Abass Alesinloye Grammar School is designed to benefit over 1,000 students, providing them with access to state-of-the-art computers, internet connectivity, and expert-led training sessions. This facility is expected to empower students with knowledge in areas such as coding, web development, and other ICT-related disciplines, preparing them for future careers in technology and entrepreneurship.

Speaking on the project, Hon. Olajide emphasized the importance of equal opportunities in education. “This ICT Hub is not just about access to computers; it’s about laying the foundation for the next generation of innovators. We are ensuring that every student in our constituency has the tools they need to succeed in the digital age,” he said.

The lawmaker’s commitment to bridging the digital divide is evident in his hands-on approach to securing the necessary funding and resources for these projects. By replicating the success of the Oke-Bola ICT Hub, Hon. Olajide is reaffirming his dedication to educational advancement and youth empowerment in Oyo State.

As construction begins at Oba Abass Alesinloye Grammar School, students, teachers, and the wider community are optimistic about the transformative impact this project will have. The initiative is expected to not only enhance the students’ digital competencies but also inspire a culture of innovation and technological excellence.

With the expansion of this ICT initiative, Hon. Olajide continues to demonstrate his vision for a digitally literate and empowered youth, ensuring that every student has the opportunity to excel in today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape.
