The Special Adviser to Governor Seyi Makinde on Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Hon Olakunle Akinsete has defected to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Shete who doubles as a board member representing Oyo South in Oyo Housing Corporation left the Social Democratic Party (SDP) alongside hundreds of his supporters.
Addressing the party faithful at the declaration ground on Wednesday, the 2023 House of Assembly candidate under SDP said, Governor Seyi Makinde’s inclusive approach to governance was a key factor in his decision to join the PDP.
“The Governor’s leadership style is also making the ruling party a platform everyone would want to be a part of.”
