In a swift response to the devastating fire that razed shops and properties at Ashamu Market, Kosobo, Oyo East Local Government, Hon. Olorunpoto Cephas Rahaman has visited the affected traders, expressing solidarity and providing much-needed relief.
Following his motion in the Oyo State House of Assembly urging the government to support the victims, Hon. Rahaman donated 1,000 blocks to aid reconstruction efforts. He also called on well-meaning individuals, organizations, and government agencies to donate building materials to help the affected traders rebuild their businesses.
Speaking at the scene, he emphasized the need for collective efforts to restore the market, ensuring that traders can return to their economic activities as soon as possible.
The traders expressed appreciation for his support and appealed for more assistance from the government and the public.
