In a transformative leap towards a brighter and safer community, the lawmaker representing Afijio State Constituency at the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon Oladeji Oparinde has officially begun the installation of 30 solar-powered street lights, in Ward 2, ward 8 and ward 9 in Afijio local government.

This momentous initiative is not just about lighting up the streets; it’s about illuminating the path towards a sustainable future for residents.

According to Hon Oparinde, this project aims to provide steady and eco-friendly illumination, significantly enhancing safety and visibility during the night.

The House Committee Chairman on Energy added that the light up project will address long-standing need for better lighting in various communities, creating a more secure environment for families, children, and businesses.

By harnessing solar energy, this initiative also demonstrates Hon Oparinde’s commitment to environmental stewardship, reducing carbon footprint and promoting renewable energy solutions.

Residents are already expressing their gratitude and excitement over this initiative, recognising it as a significant improvement to their daily lives.

“This is a monumental step forward for our community.

“It not only make our streets safer but also shows that our representative ( Hon Oladeji Oparinde) truly cares about our well-being,” remarked a local business owner.
