The Executive Chairman of Ogbomoso South local government area of Oyo State, Hon Oyedokun Oyeniyi Timothy, said his administration would continue to support sports development in schools for the mental and kinetic development of students.
Hon Oyedokun who is popularly known as OOT, gade the commitment on Thursday as guest of honour at the 15th annual inter house sport competition at Laogun Adeoye Memorial High School.
OOT who is the chairmanship candidate on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, congratulated the school for the laudable feat, added that when reelected in the April election, his administration would continue to support the youths to develop their skills in sports without affecting their academic activities.
He said that sport was one of the activities highly recognised for its significant contribution to the development of children, particularly while in school.
“I attended the 15th annual inter house sport competition at Laogun Adeoye Memorial High School was a vibrant display of youthful energy and talent.
“I pledged my unwavering support as Chairman of Ogbomoso South LG for the holistic development of students – academically, physically, and morally.”
