The federal lawmaker representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Hon. Folajimi Oyekunle (DoN), has commended the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State following the successful commissioning of the party’s newly built State Secretariat, describing it as a symbol of unity, resilience, and purposeful leadership.
Hon. Oyekunle, while reacting to the historic commissioning, lauded the Governor of Oyo State and Leader of the PDP, Engr. Seyi Makinde, for his unwavering commitment to strengthening democratic institutions and party structures, noting that the edifice stands as a testament to a leadership that truly believes in democracy, inclusiveness, and progressive governance.
According to the lawmaker, the Governor has consistently demonstrated strength, courage, and clarity of purpose in pursuing a cause he firmly believes in — a true democratic system of governance where party supremacy, accountability, and people-oriented leadership remain paramount.
Hon. Oyekunle fondly greeted the Governor, whom he referred to as “Oga”, congratulating him and the entire PDP family on the successful completion of the Secretariat, while affirming his deep-rooted belief in the ideals and future of the PDP.
“This Secretariat is more than a building; it is a rallying point for party faithful and a clear statement that the PDP in Oyo State is solid, organized, and forward-looking. I congratulate our leader, Oga, for this remarkable achievement and for his steadfast belief in the PDP as a vehicle for good governance and democratic growth,” Oyekunle stated.
The federal lawmaker further assured party members and the good people of Oyo State that the PDP will continue to stand strong, undeterred, and unshaken, despite political distractions, emphasizing that the party remains united and focused on delivering dividends of democracy.
Hon. Oyekunle also echoed his unflinching support for Governor Makinde’s leadership, reiterating his commitment to working with the party at all levels to sustain its dominance and progressive vision across the state and beyond.
“The PDP is not wavering. We are standing firm, stronger than ever, and resolute in our mission to serve the people. Together, we will continue to defend democratic values and uphold the trust reposed in us by the electorate,” he added.
