The Executive Chairman of Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Sanda Sikiru Oyedele (Lajuee), has lauded the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Abiodun Makinde, FNSE, for his outstanding leadership and developmental strides over the past six years.

In a congratulatory message personally signed by Hon. Sanda, he praised Governor Makinde for redefining governance in Oyo State and raising the standard of leadership across the country.

“Governor Makinde has demonstrated a rare commitment to the welfare of the people through life-changing and priority-driven projects. His performance has not only been excellent but also exemplary,” Hon. Sanda stated.

He outlined several key achievements of the Makinde administration, particularly within Egbeda Local Government, including:

    – The construction of a 2-span 20×20 meter bridge at Olodo,

    – Establishment and equipping of modern Primary Health Care Centres,

    – Upgrading of the Ladoke Akintola Airport to international standards,

    – Ongoing construction of circular roads across the state,

    – Elimination of secondary school fees,

    – Significant investments in security infrastructure,

    – Establishment of the agribusiness industrial hub,

    – Statewide streetlight initiative under the “Light Up Oyo” project,

    – Recruitment of civil servants,

    – Prompt payment of pensions and gratuities to retirees.

“These milestones are clear and visible proofs that Governor Makinde is a leader with a vision, and he genuinely means well for the people of Oyo State,” the council chairman added.

Hon. Sanda congratulated the Governor, who also serves as the Vice Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), on reaching the milestone of six impactful years in office.

“You have proven to be a worthy and exemplary ambassador of our dear state, delivering tangible dividends of democracy to the people,” he said.

On behalf of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leaders, political appointees, traditional rulers, community and religious stakeholders, the entire workforce, and the good people of Egbeda Local Government, Hon. Sanda extended warm felicitations to Governor Makinde.

He concluded by praying for God’s continued favour and wisdom for the Governor as he continues to lead Oyo State—and by extension, the Southwest and Nigeria—with distinction.
