Hon Toyin Balogun Hails Gov Makinde, Congratulates Hon Oyekunle on Appointment as Deputy Chief of Staff

The Oyo State Commissioner For Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Hon (Mrs) Toyin Balogun has congratulated Hon Folajimi Oyekunle on his appointment as Deputy Chief of Staff.

This was contained in a congratulatory message the Hon Commissioner made available to newsmen on Saturday. It reads:

“It’s been a crazily busy day for me,which would be incomplete still without celebrating my own however fagged out I am.

“I consider myself privileged indeed to be able to celebrate a 3 in 1 best day of the very eventful year 2023.

“The first Red Letter day for me this year was the day of my Principal;His Excellency Governor Oluseyi Makinde hard fought,hard won resounding,landslide victory against all odds,against the machinations and plots of Naysayers.

“Some with pure venom and bile mouthed expletives to the hearing of one of the Female Coordinators of His Excellency’s campaign the day before elections and I quote the English translation:

” By the time her Principal GSM losses woefully at the polls( due to their acts of sabotage),she(meaning myself) and all those Female Campaign Coordinators she’s mobilising support for him in all the 33 LG with will be disgraced!”

“My joyful dance and that of my teeming followers at the Stadium Inaugural Event was in thankfulness to God for putting the Naysayers and Negative Nancy’s to shame,for not letting us be disgraced as they had planned.

“The 2nd most joyful day in the year on its way out for me was understandably the day I was sworn into office by His Excellency

“The 3rd Red-Letter Day for me in the year under review is unarguably today 15th of December 2023,the day my tenacious brother from another mother , my Personal Person in whom I’m well pleased,who stood up to be counted with me against all odds,who was as invested as I was physically, prayerfully and financially in the Must Achieve success of the GSM 2nd Term Project,who dug in together with me and some others in the trenches,who was with me as I traversed from Polling Unit to Polling Unit on election day,delivering food,refreshments and resources to party faithful across our LG Polling Units,who stayed over wide awake all night at the Collation Centre with those of us who stood guard over the results without going home to bathe until the victory of His Excellency and our 2 House of Assembly candidates were announced at the collation centre the next day.

“I celebrate you today as always my dear brother.God has been faithful to us both.

“My Thanksgiving goes first off to God Almighty,who made it possible for both Hon Fola Don and I and our teeming well wishers particularly in Ibadan North LG for the gift of life to see this long awaited day

“Secondly,I want to use this medium to appreciate my Principal;His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde,the best Leader in the world who quietly without making a fuss,observes and faithfully rewards every labour of love over his cause

“Even though His Excellency does not say much, he notices every little effort you make,every little sacrifice,every initiative you drive in the advancement of his cause

“My heart is filled with joy at Hon Fola’s recognition.I salute ,respect and appreciate both His Excellency and my dear brother Balogun Bobajiro of Orile Igbon; Otunba Adeseye Famojuro for Walking their Talk,for being Promise Keepers.You made me a promise to restore the hope of a young ,amiable and reliable Man of the People who looks up to His Excellency as his political Role Model ( like so many of us do) and have kept that promise

“God bless and keep both under the shadow of His wings so that you can continue your sworn agenda of creating platforms to showcase and support the abilities and competencies of promising youthful ( and young at heart upcoming quality leaders).
