The Executive Chairman of Akinyele Local Government, Hon Akinwole Akinleye on Wednesday inaugurated the newly elected executives of the community development council (CDC) at the local government conference hall, Moniya.
In a statement made available to the public through his Media Aide, Ogundipe Miracle, Hon Akinleye charged the executives to be good representatives of their various communities.
“We were not opportuned to meet a good system of community engagement when we came but Today, we have taken a proactive step towards the development of our dear local government, I enjoin you all to see this as an opportunity to serve humanity and propel our dear local Government to the peak where we belong”.
“I congratulate you on this new ladder that you have climbed and I can assure you that we will work hand in hand to ensure better and quality community engagement which we promised during our campaign. I urge you all to be good representatives and ambassadors of your various communities”.
“Within our short time in office, we have been able to interact positively with various stakeholders within our local government which is evident in our effective and efficient service delivery. We will do our best to maintain a stable and consistent community engagement as it is a vital component of any development oriented Government.”
The Head of Local Government Administration in Akinyele Local Government, Dr (Mrs) Busari while addressing the new CDC executives affirmed that she has never worked with a Grassroot developer such as the Executive Chairman, She therefore Urged the New Executives to key into the Vision and Mission of the Executive Chairman for the Progress of the Local Government.
The new chairman of CDC in Akinyele Local Government, Alhaji Lukman K. Ahmed who spoke on behalf of other executives appreciated the Executive Chairman for the opportunity given to them to serve and assured him of been diligent in the discharge of their duties.
Present at the Inauguration ceremony alongside the Chairman were the Head of Local Government Administration(HLGA), Dr (Mrs) Busari, the Leader of the Akinyele Legislative Arm, Hon Rafiu Kolawole and his colleagues in the house, the Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman, Hon Adeyemi Aderinwale, Director of Education, Mr Durosayo, The Local Government Information Officer , Mr Adedoja, Supervisory Councilors , Special Assistants amongst others.
