
On June 26, 2025, we gather to honour the 80th posthumous birthday of AIG Isaac Adeyemo Boladuro, a distinguished leader whose impact on the Nigeria Police Force remains profound.



Born on June 26, 1945, in Otunayegbaju, Osun State, Boladuro’s life was a remarkable journey defined by dedication, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to reforming law enforcement in Nigeria.






AIG Boladuro was not merely a figure in uniform; he was a visionary who implemented transformative policies that reshaped the Nigerian Police Force.
Late Isaac Boladuro was a popular sports Icon not only in the Nigeria Police Force only but African Police games where he represented Nigeria and won series of medals. He participated in sprint, (100m race), javelin, discos, scotch among others. These remarkable feats propelled.

One of the exemplary legacies he left behind was his humility and simplicity. He was simple to the core coupled with the omoulabi ethos which endeared top officers both in the Police Force and Military to him.
His efforts laid the groundwork for a more accountable and efficient law enforcement system. With a focus on integrity, professionalism, and community engagement, he fostered trust between the police and the public, making significant strides in modernizing the force.
His influence extended beyond policy; he was a mentor to many future leaders in the force. Among his notable protégés were former Governor Adebayo Alao Akala, CP Fatai Owoseni (rtd), and CP Odukoya (rtd).
Boladuro’s commitment to nurturing talent ensured that his legacy would live on through those he trained, who went on to make significant contributions to policing in Nigeria.
Rising from the ranks of constable to Assistant Inspector General (AIG), Boladuro’s career is a testament to his hard work and resilience. He served alongside notable contemporaries, including Late AIG Tafa Balogun, IGP Sunday Ehindero, and IGP Mike Okiro.
His ascent within the police hierarchy was not merely a personal achievement; it symbolised the potential for growth and excellence within the force.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Boladuro was a devoted father to six children. His family was central to his life, providing him with the support and inspiration to pursue his demanding career while remaining grounded in his values.
AIG Isaac Adeyemo Boladuro passed away just 42 days after his 70th birthday, on August 6, 2015. As we reflect on his contributions during this 10-year remembrance, we honour a man whose life’s work has left an indelible mark on the Nigerian Police Force.
His birthday, now celebrated posthumously, serves as a reminder of the impact one dedicated individual can have on an institution and society at large.
