The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the DAKA Foundation and a philanthropist, Dr. Kazeem Adesina Abidikugu, popularly known as KSO has expressed deep sympathy to the family of those who lost their lives in an accident that occured in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State on Tuesday

He also sympathises with those who sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatments in the hospital, wishing them quick recovery.

It could be recalled that about Six people, including a motorcyclist, were killed on Tuesday when a trailer carrying 45,000 litres of Premium Motor Spirit lost control and ran over several tricycles in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, where several others sustained varying degrees of injuries.

Eyewitnesses account revealed that the accident occurred at the Fruits Market along the Oje-Beere route in Ibadan.

In a statement he issued on Wednesday,. Abidikugu who is the Agba-Akin Bobajiro of Ibadanland commiserates with the family of the victims who lost their lives in the accident and those who sustained varying degree of injuries and are currently receiving treatments in both public and private hospitals.

Abidikugu also commiserates with the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja Arusa 1 praying that the Almighty Allah will help prevent such bad occurrence in Ibadanland.

Abidikugu who is also a United Kingdom based Psychiatric Consultant advise the people to avoid street trading, saying the degree of fatalities would have been low if people are not trading on the streets.

He said he is aware that the government has been warning against street trading but advise the government to provide shops at low cost to relocate the traders on the streets.

Abidikugu who is a renown Philanthropist said well to do individuals should also complement the government in relocating traders at the scene of the accident.

He said there is the need to relocate the fresh fruits market in the Oje Area of Ibadan to avoid future accidents.
