Ibadan Christ Apostolic Grammar School Old Boys Association Awards Scholarship to Best Student
The Old Boys Association of Ibadan Christ Apostolic Grammar School under the leadership of Dr Morohunkola Thomas has awarded a scholarship to the school’s best student, Master Jeremiah Oladele.
While presenting the letter of award to the parents of the student, Dr Thomas noted that Jeremiah has performed creditably well in both the WAEC and the UTME examinations leading to his being admitted into the Federal University of Technology, Akure to study Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
He further stated that it is the policy of the old boys to award scholarships to the best student every year and that for Jeremiah, the scholarship is for the sum of 350,000 naira per annum for the duration of the 5-year course.
Dr Morohunkola Thomas further called on all stakeholders in education particularly Alumni Associations to work as partners to government on the development of education by increasing their financial commitment to the sector in the interest of our society.
He further admonished the awardee to work harder in order to achieve excellent results so as to justify the scholarship award.
In response, the father of the awardee, Pastor Nathaniel Oladele thanked Dr Thomas and his colleagues in the Old Boys Association for the Scholarship Award noting that without the award it would have been difficult for his son attend university despite his sterling performance.
He prayed that the Lord will bless all members of the Association
