The Chairman Oyo State Park Management System (PMS), Ambassador Wasiu Tomiwa Omolewa has commiserated with families who lost loved ones at a funfair event held at Islamic Model School, Bashorun, Ibadan last week Wednesday.
The stampede led to the deaths of 35 children while others sustained injuries.
Tommy who expressed shock over the incident, described it as sad and unfortunate occurrence.
He prayed that God grants the deceased eternal rest and grant the families fortitude to bear the losses adding that it is a loss not only for their families but for Ibadan and Oyo State as a whole.
Why sympathizing with Governor Seyi Makinde, he lauded the Governor for the proactive steps taken to support those injured with the quick arrival of rapid response team at the scene of the incident.
