    Ibadan North Council Chairman, Olufade, Praises Makinde For Prioritizing Pensioners’ Welfare

    The Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Hon. Oluwaseun Olufade, has praised Governor Seyi Makinde for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of pensioners in Oyo State.

    Hon. Olufade expressed his admiration for the governor at the 2024 End-of-the-Year Program and 2025 Beginning-of-the-Year Meeting of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP), Ibadan North Local Government Chapter.


    Speaking at the event, the chairman rejoiced with the pensioners, thanking God for their lives and celebrating Governor Makinde’s numerous initiatives aimed at improving their well-being.

    He particularly commended the governor for increasing the monthly pension payments and extending health insurance coverage to retirees.

    “Governor Seyi Makinde has consistently put smiles on the faces of pensioners.

    His commitment to their welfare is unmatched, and he truly stands out as the most performing governor in Nigeria,” Hon. Olufade stated.

    The Ibadan North chairman urged pensioners to continue praying for Governor Makinde, emphasizing that divine support would help fulfill his future political ambitions.

    As part of his support for the union, Hon. Olufade promised to provide a modern public address system at their next meeting to enhance their gatherings.

    Additionally, he pledged N1 million towards the ongoing construction of the Pensioners’ Building in Ibadan North Local Government.

    In their separate remarks, pensioners applauded the executive chairman for his proactive leadership and commitment to their welfare.

    They prayed for his continued success and divine guidance in his administration.

    A representative of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP) at the state level, Chief A.O. Akinpelu, also commended Governor Makinde for his exceptional governance and dedication to pensioners’ needs.

    He further urged the governor to ensure that his successor shares his kind-hearted leadership style.

    The event was graced by top officials of Ibadan North Local Government, including:
    – Mr. Akeem Olatunji – Head of Local Government Administration
    – Mrs. Olusola Ejiade – Director of Administration and General Services
    – Pastor Adeola Oduola – Permanent Secretary, Ibadan Zone 1
    – Mrs. Baba Rimisa – Director of Finance
    – Other key government officials and stakeholders.
