    Ibadan Philanthropist and Community Leader, Oloye Akika Honoured With Merit Award At BCOS

    The Broadcasting Corporation of Oyo State (BCOS) has honored Chief Benedict Akika, the Agbaakin Olorunda Aaba and Mayegun of Akobo, with a prestigious merit award in recognition of his unwavering support, numerous contributions, humanitarian efforts, and selfless dedication to society.

    This was contained in a news personally signed by the Mayegun of Akobo and made available to Goalpoacher News on Monday.

    The award presentation took place at the BCOS headquarters in Ile Akede, Orita Bashorun, Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.

    Mr. Ayo Olubode is the Chairman of the 2024 BCOS Easter Celebration Committee and the award was presented to Chief Benedict Akika by BCOS Chairperson, Dr. Chief Mrs. Dotun Olaitan.

    Expressing gratitude for the recognition, Chief Benedict Akika acknowledged BCOS for deeming him worthy of such an esteemed accolade.

    He remarked that the award would serve as a source of motivation, inspiring him to continue his efforts in uplifting the community.

    Chief Akika emphasized his belief in the importance of living a purposeful life and reiterated his commitment to making meaningful contributions to society.

    The merit award bestowed upon Chief Benedict Akika underscores BCOS’s commitment to acknowledging individuals who exemplify altruism and dedication to community service.
