    Ibadan Southeast LG Holds Inter-faith Prayers, Staff’s Meeting

    Ibadan South East Local Government on Tuesday held its New Year Prayer and Staff Meeting, marking the commencement of official activities for the year and reaffirming the administration’s commitment to unity, diligence, and staff welfare.

    During the meeting, staff members eulogised the Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Oluwole Alawode, for his fairness, openness, and strong support for staff growth and unity. He was described as a dedicated and visionary leader who governs with integrity, equity, and a deep sense of responsibility.

    Staff members commended Hon. Alawode’s emphasis on teamwork, his willingness to listen to concerns, and his creation of an enabling work environment that motivates effective service delivery.


    In his address, Hon. Alawode expressed profound gratitude to God for His protection over political functionaries, staff members, and the good people of Ibadan South East Local Government. He thanked God for sparing their lives to witness the New Year and urged staff to remain thankful and committed.

    The council boss charged staff members to be diligent, punctual, and dedicated to their duties, while assuring them of his continued commitment to improving staff welfare and sustaining a harmonious workplace.

    The Vice Chairman, Hon. Teslim Ogundeji, preached the message of love, unity, and mutual respect among staff members, emphasizing that cooperation remains key to organizational success.

    The Head of Local Government Administration (HLGA), Dr. Agnes Olakunbi Ojo, implored staff to shun laziness, maintain regular attendance at work, and discharge their responsibilities with a high sense of accountability.

    Also speaking, the NULGE Chairman, Comrade Oluseye Akinola, appreciated the Chairman and the Management Team for their efforts in staff development and capacity building, pledging the union’s full support toward achieving the administration’s goals.

    The Acting HLGA, Alhaja Folasade Olanrewaju, delivered the vote of thanks, appreciating the leadership and staff for their cooperation and commitment.

    Other dignitaries present at the event included the Secretary to the Local Government, Alhaji Kazeem Kareem; the Chief of Staff, Prince Olusegun Oludaye; Departmental Directors and members of staff of the Local Government.

    The New Year Prayer and Staff Meeting ended on a positive note, with renewed commitment to service, unity, and effective grassroots governance.
