Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has commended the immediate past local government chairmen in Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa East, Hon. Adeoye Adedoyin and Hon. Olugbenga Obalowo, for their community service during their tenure as executive chairmen of the two local councils.

Recall that yesterday, May 24, 2024, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Engr. Seyi Makinde, swore in newly elected local government chairmen at the House of Chief, Oyo State Secretariat, Agodi, in Ibadan, the state’s capital.

In his words of commendation to the two former bosses, Hon. Adepoju said both Hon. Adeoye and Hon. Obalowo made a real impact on the lives of everyone, charging the ex-chairmen to assist their successors in critical areas for the overall development of the region.

“Congratulations to you, Hon. Adeoye Adedoyin and Hon. Olugbenga Obalowo, on the successful completion of your tenure. I am so proud of the contributions you made in actualizing Omituntun 1.0 for the sustainable development of our dear state.

“The intellectual fervour you brought to leadership and your commitment to community service in the last 3 years didn’t go unnoticed. I charge you not to hesitate to assist your successors in areas where they need you for the development of our region. I wish you the best in your future endeavours as you bow out of your exalted offices,” the lawmaker said.

While commending the ex-chairmen, Hon. Adepoju also congratulated Hon. Lateef Akorede on his second swearing as executive chairman of Ibarapa North.

Ibarapakan stressed that winning a second term is a remarkable achievement and a strong affirmation of the trust and confidence that the community has in Hon. Akorede’s leadership and vision.

He also congratulated Hon. Olusola Ayodele Adeleke, saying his victory is an attestation to his hard work and commitment to community service. He expressed confidence that, under Hon. Olusola’s guidance, Ibarapa Central will experience significant progress and positive change.
