Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has congratulated renowned banker, Mukaram Aliu, popularly known as Kewulere, on his appointment as the National President of the Ayete Progressive Union (APU).

Hon. Adepoju, in his congratulatory message on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, described Kewulere as a man poised with native intelligence, a ready-to-do attitude and a community development spirit.

Ibarapakan said the appointment of Hon. Kewulere is a right decision, noting that the Ayete-born businessman’s character, competence and track record of community service are up to snuff for the position of President at the APU.

“I want to use this moment to congratulate my brother and kinsman, Hon. Mukaram Aliu, on his appointment as the President of the Ayete Progressive Union.

“Over the years, Hon. Kewulere has used his network and expertise to build youth constituency in Ayete. As a proprietor, banker and community developer, one doesn’t need to be told that Ayete has strategically positioned itself to benefit from a man who is not only cerebral in all ramifications but also imbued with all that it takes to build a community into an enviable state.

While wishing Hon. Kewulere the strength and wisdom to steer the ship of the association, the Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Federal Character, urged the Action People’s Party (APP) House of Representatives Candidate in the 2023 general elections for Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency not to hesitate to uphold the competencies he is known for in the course of discharging his role as President.

“APU has come of age; this is an association of committed indigenes of Ayete Community. In our region today, we only have a few of the community associations that, after 70 years of existence, have been able to remain formidable entities, and without long rhetoric, Hon. Kewulere knows he has a pace and an intimidating status quo to maintain.

“Please accept the assurances of my highest regard and any support you may need from my office to ensure your transformational stay in office is a huge success,” the lawmaker said.
