    Ibarapakan Facilitates Free Medical Outreach In Ibarapa Central/North Constituency

    Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has facilitated free medical outreach for the good people of Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Local Government Areas of Oyo State.

    The free medical outreach, which is fully sponsored by the Federal Government of Nigeria in collaboration with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), is scheduled to take place in Ibarapa North and Ibarapa Central Local Government Areas on Friday, May 23, 2025, and Saturday, May 24, 2025, respectively.

    According to Hon. Adepoju, the initiative is part of his commitment to providing healthcare access to underserved communities, increasing awareness about different health issues and offering preventive care and early interventions, as well as fostering community engagement and health education.

    The lawmaker stressed that a team of medical experts, led by a renowned medical practitioner from Ibarapa descent familiar with our culture, background and practices will be stationed at each local government secretariat in the federal constituency to provide free medical services for residents in all the communities under the federal constituency without any form of discrimination.

    The free medical outreach will feature eye care services (screening of common causes of blindness e.g. Cataract, Glaucoma) treatment of Conjunctivitis, Minor surgeries where required, and giving reading Glasses, dental care services (Scaling and polishing, simple tooth extraction, and other Oral Care), mental health and drug abuse (information, education and counselling; treatment and linkages to advance care), health talks on key household practices, public awareness creation for NPHCDA like: Maternal and Child health, routine immunization, Ante Natal Care Services, laboratory services and screening (Diabetes, Hepatitis, HIV) and treatment/ linkages/referrals, general Outpatient Consultation and Treatment (GOP-Care).

    The Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Federal Character also enjoined constituents in the federal constituency to seize the opportunity to discuss issues related to their health with medical experts during the exercise.
