Ibarapakan Hands Over Newly Constructed Oke-Ode School Building to Community, School Authority
Member representing Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North Federal Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju, has handed over the just completed three block of classrooms at NUD primary school V, Oke-Odo, Igboora, to community leaders and the school’s authority.
The ceremony commemorating the opening of the new facility was held in the school’s premises on Monday, September 30, 2024, with key community stakeholders in Oke-Odo and school management in attendance.
The community leaders appreciated the lawmaker for facilitating the project through the Oyo State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDS), thanking him as well for his kind gesture in issuing cheque to the community to start the construction of the building before the World Bank’s support.
In his keynote address, Hon. Adepoju expressed his gratitude to the good people of Oke-Odo for their support. He promised that he would be providing school uniforms to a number of pupils in the school and encouraged the students to study hard to reach their full potential.
Handling over the building to the community leaders for proper care and maintenance, the lawmaker assured the community of his support and more infrastructural projects for the development of the area.
The school principal, Mr. Ojetola Adebola Adeyemi, also thanked the lawmaker for his commitment to development. He said the facility would provide a conducive learning environment and bridge the infrastructural deficit in the school environment.
