The Society of Women Accountants of Nigeria (SWAN), ICAN Lagelu and District Society has taken their engagement with critical stakeholders to the Vice Chancellor of KolaDaisi University, Ibadan (KDU), Professor Olajumoke Abimbola Morenikeji.



This engagement with the top-echelon of KolaDaisi University, Ibadan took place yesterday, Wednesday, 16th September, 2026 at the premises of the Institution along Ibadan-Oyo ExpressWay.


The aim of the visit is to foster professional relationships and strengthen engagement with distinguished women in leadership positions across board.




The delegation was led by the SWAN Representative of the District, Queen Folasade Ayo-Kumuyi, FCA, alongside other distinguished members of the Society.


The visit provided an opportunity for SWAN to congratulate Professor Morenikeji on her recent appointment as the first female Vice-Chancellor of KolaDaisi University and to strengthen the relationship between SWAN, ICAN Lagelu and District Society, and the University community.
The delegation also highlighted the importance of professional engagement, collaboration, mentorship and the recognition of women who continue to excel in leadership in their respective professions.
In her response, the Vice-Chancellor attributed her emergence to God’s grace, hard work and integrity. She also spoke passionately about the importance of successfully combining career, family and leadership responsibilities.
She encouraged women to remain committed to excellence while maintaining balance in their various roles.
During the visit, the delegation presented a portrait to Professor Morenikeji as a token of appreciation and recognition of her outstanding leadership and accomplishments.
The gesture reflected SWAN’s commitment to celebrating and encouraging women who have attained notable positions of responsibility and continue to make meaningful contributions to society.
In a reciprocal gesture, Professor Morenikeji presented a gift package to the SWAN Representative, adding to the warmth and memorable nature of the occasion.
The visit concluded with photographs and expressions of appreciation to the Vice-Chancellor for graciously receiving the delegation.
The district’s SWAN Representative Queen Folasade Ayo-kumuyi, FCA was accompanied by Queen Mojisola Fashola, FCA, Queen Oyeyemi Aremu, FCA, Queen Agbebaku Halima, ACA, Queen Sodipo Bukola, ACA, Queen Akanji Opeyemi, ACA and Queen Adeyemo Olubunmi, ACA among others.
SWAN, ICAN Lagelu and District Society remains committed to promoting professional excellence, supporting the advancement of women, fostering mentorship and collaboration.
In addition, the Society will continue to build meaningful relationships with individuals and institutions whose contributions impacts the society positively.
