IDDU in Canada Awards Gov. Makinde for Outstanding Governance
The Ibadan Descendants Development Union (IDDU) in Canada has awarded Governor Seyi Makinde the Award of Excellence, recognizing his exceptional governance in Oyo State.
The award was presented in acknowledgment of the governor’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and ethical leadership, alongside his significant contributions to the development of Oyo State and the city of Ibadan.
The Commissioner for Public Works and Transport, Professor Dahud Sangodoyin, received the award on behalf of Governor Makinde at a vibrant ceremony attended by community leaders and members.
The dinner and award night was held at LW Banquet and Convention Center, 4611 Steeles Avenue1, North York, Canada.
“This honour reflects the collective efforts of our administration in driving progress and enhancing the lives of our citizens,” Professor Sangodoyin remarked during the event.
The commissioner was joined by prominent figures, including Prof. Ayodeji Omole; President-General of the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII) and Pro Chancellor of LAUTECH, Hon. Tunde Tijani and Dr. Mrs. Fagbola, Vice President of IDDU, Canada.
Together, they celebrated the governor’s achievements and the positive changes his leadership has brought to the community.
