In his bid to foster unity and promote religious tolerance among party party members in Ibadan Southwest local government, the Director-General, Gaming and Lottery Board, Hon Olajide Boladuro popularly known as JIGA on Saturday hosted PDP leaders to Iftar.
The Event was held on Saturday at his Popular Hotel, Horizon Suites Located in Oluyole Estate In Ibadan.
The event was held to celebrate the holy month of Ramadan, witnessed the coming together of various political gladiators in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Hon Boladuro while addressing the party faithful stated that the Iftar he organized was an opportunity to reflect on blessings and the gift of life from Almighty God.
Speaking on the forthcoming local government elections in the state, Hon Boladuro urged all party members to replicate the winning mentality of the 2023 gubernatorial elections which saw Governor Seyi Makinde winning all polling units in Ibadanland.
He called for unity among different stakeholders going into the local government elections.
Boladuro, who has been supporting the party for years lauded Executive Chairman of Ibadan Southwest, Hon Kehinde Akande and his vice, Hon Tajudeen for transformation that has taken place in the council.
The highlight of the event was the donation of undisclosed amounts to Hon Kehinde Akande, his vice and the twelve councilorship candidates.
The event was attended by Hon Kehinde Akande, His Vice, Hon Tajudeen Adeniyi Adigun, PDP party Chairman, Hon Moruf Balogun who was represented by his deputy, Hon Kunle Baale, DG, Kehinde Akande Campaign team, was represented by Musa Oladele, serving councilors and councilorship candidates.
They commended Hon Olajide Boladuro for his goodwill gestures and urged others to emulate him.
