Int’l Women’s Day: Dr Hellen Adebakin Harps on Gender Equality, Social Inclusion

The President Southern Women Empowerment Forum, Dr Mrs Hellen Adebakin has advocated for more gender equality and social inclusion of women in key decision making to enhance societal development.

Dr Adebakin gave the admonition while delivering her goodwill message in commemoration of the year 2024 International Women’s Day Celebration.

While speaking on the theme “Inspired Inclusion,” Dr Adebakin extolled women folk for their immense contributions, resilience, and strength of women in all aspects of societal development. Her words:

“As the President of the Southern Women Empowerment Forum, it is my distinct pleasure to extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all women around the world on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

“This year, as we come together to celebrate under the theme “Inspired Inclusion,” we are reminded of the immense contributions, resilience, and strength of women in all aspects of societal development.

“International Women’s Day serves as a powerful opportunity to honour the achievements of women and advocate for gender equality, inclusion, and empowerment.

“Inspired Inclusion signifies the need to create environments where every woman, regardless of background, ethnicity, or circumstance, feels valued, supported, and empowered to fulfill her potential. It is a call to action to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and foster a more inclusive society where women thrive in every sphere of life.

“At the Southern Women Empowerment Forum, we are committed to championing the cause of inspired inclusion, promoting diversity, and amplifying the voices of women from diverse backgrounds. We recognize the importance of collaborative efforts to create inclusive spaces that elevate and celebrate the unique perspectives and contributions of all women.
