The Al-Faediat South West of Nigeria Tijaniyat (Oyo State Chapter), under the authority of Maolana Sheikh Alhaji Ibrahim Niyas (RTA), has declared its support for the second-term ambition of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as the 2027 governorship ambition of Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Islamic organisation made its position known in a letter dated September 19, 2026, addressed to the Okanlomo Oodua and Gbonka Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, which was formally received during the group’s visit to him at Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Akanran, Ibadan.
The Tijaniyat group, which described itself as a vibrant Islamic organisation committed to propagating the course of Islam across the South-West states of Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti and Lagos, stated its intention to support President Tinubu for a second term and to work with stakeholders towards the realisation of its objectives.
The group also declared its support for Senator Sharafadeen Alli as Governor of Oyo State in 2027, alongside other APC candidates contesting various elective positions in the state and at the federal level. Senator Alli is the APC’s 2027 governorship candidate in Oyo State.
In the letter, the organisation appreciated Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi for his activities and efforts in support of President Tinubu’s second-term ambition, expressing its readiness to collaborate with him.
The delegation further expressed its desire to use Chief Sanusi’s platform to establish stronger engagement with President Tinubu and analyse developments surrounding the 2027 political process.
The group recalled its previous courtesy visit to Chief Sanusi and appreciated the warm reception accorded its members, while also announcing plans to organise a special prayer for Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi, particularly in recognition of his philanthropic activities, generosity and wellbeing.
The letter concluded with prayers for the continued success, prosperity and wellbeing of the business mogul and philanthropist.
Receiving the delegation at Ilaji Resort, Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi appreciated the Tijaniyat leadership for the visit, prayers and expression of support, while welcoming continued engagement and collaboration with religious and community stakeholders.
The visit further underscores the growing engagements between Chief Jubril Dotun Sanusi and various community, religious and grassroots groups ahead of the 2027 general elections.
