The association of compound heads in Ibadanland otherwise known as Mogajis have declared their support for Alhaja Saratu Aduke Konibaje as the Iyaloja General of Oyo State.
Recall in 2021, the coalition of Traders, Artisans, Market Men and Women in the state appointed Alhaja Saratu Aduke Konibaje as the New Iyaloja.
Late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi 111, installed Princess Azeezat Folashade Abeo Nurudeen as Iyaloja General for Oyo State with the support of some of some stakeholders.
Rising from the meeting on Wednesday, the Ibadan Mogajis unanimously endorsed Alhaja Saratu Aduke Konibaje for the position of Iyaloja General of Oyo State.
According to the Spokesperson of the Mogajis, Mogaji Sanusi Akintobi, he said all Mogajis from Ibadanland unanimously endorsed and ratified Alhaja Saratu Aduke Konibaje as the Iyaloja General of Oyo.
According to him, the Mogajis would fold their arms and allow a minority group to foist an unacceptable candidate on the larger stakeholders of market men and women, artisans among others.
The Mogajis used the meeting to call on appropriate authority and stakeholders to correct the injustice of 2021.
